Like the bulk of illegal drugs, cocaine is a stimulant aimed at the central nervous system. The “high” associated with cocaine is usually described as euphoria or an intense feeling of contentment. Cocaine can be injected, free-based, or snorted into the user’s system. The high one receives from cocaine can last anywhere from ten minutes to 60 minutes.

Some of the signs and symptoms of cocaine use, or abuse:

  • Drastic Weight Loss
  • Nose Bleeds
  • Euphoria
  • Bad Breath
  • Chronic Runny Nose
  • Easily Irritated
  • Constant Sniffing
  • Restlessness
  • Mood Swings
  • Depression
  • Nervousness
  • Easily Driven To Arguments

When taken by someone who is about to drive, the effects on that person can be:

  • Slow response to traffic situations
  • Difficulty measuring time and distance and how they relate.
  • Distorted vision and depth perception

Cocaine is a harmful and highly addictive drug. Crack cocaine is a more potent form of the drug, although the high lasts for a very short time. Cocaine, like other drugs, should be avoided at all costs.
