When it comes to trick-or-treating on Halloween, many kids look forward to the bags full of sweet and not-so-healthy snacks they hope to haul in. While not wanting to spoil all of the fun of this popular holiday, there are ways that parents can make Halloween a little healthier. Here is a great article on how to make Halloween a healthier holiday.
Whether healthy or not, parents of children who suffer from food allergies need to be particularly wary on Halloween. Often if children are allowed to trick-or-treat in groups without too much supervision, they’ll start eating their treats before they return home. Without an adult to read the labels though, a child who has a specific food allergy may inadvertently consume a food that causes them health problems.
Be safe on Halloween!
