With modern plastic surgery, many things that were not possible just a few short years ago are possible now. Plastic surgery is not only for the vain and those trying to recapture their youth, although that is what makes most headlines, it is also for those born with birth defects, and those that have experienced disfigurement either through botched surgery or horrific accidents. Though I personally have never considered getting plastic surgery, there are two people in my life who have.
An older female friend of mine has had multiple surgeries on her face and she looks absolutely fabulous. While some people can take it too far, often subtle plastic surgery cannot only make appearances better but can be less obvious than once thought. Another friend of mine underwent a liposuction procedure last summer and she too looks fantastic. She took a little bit different track towards the surgery, using it as motivation in her weight loss plan. She set a goal of losing 60 pounds, and once she met that she would allow herself to undergo the surgery to “finish the job”. She met her goals and the surgery went perfectly. She is now one of the many women contemplating getting boob jobs now, I think she is looking at next spring for that.
Cosmetic surgery is a great option for some people to undergo. Some of the new modern techniques can even make the process both less invasive as well as less obvious. The best advice anyone can get if they are thinking of cosmetic surgery is to look at testimonials from patients of specific plastic surgeons. Word of mouth is the best way to find the plastic surgeon that is right for you.
