Flooding In The Upper Midwest Brings With It Unseen Health Concerns

June 28th, 2008 · No Comments

Here is an allergy alert based on something going on in current events.

The flooding in the upper midwest is particularly bad this year with many residents living in areas that haven’t been flooded like this in the last 500 years. With the thousands of people now cleaning up after this natural catastrophe, a new concern has arisen involving allergies. As houses, walls, clothes, carpet, and more starts to dry out and be gone through to see what can be salvaged, many people will be exposed to mold. Along with the mold, there will be other things that can affect people’s health and allergies uncovered during the clean-up and rebuilding phases of this work. People should take great care and wear appropriate breathing equipment and filters to protect their health.
