Benadryl is a popular antihistamine used primarily to combat allergies and congestion problems. Benadryl is also used in many over the counter sleep aids. When used in larger than intended doses, Benadryl changes the way it interacts on the human body. When used in high doses it can cause hallucinations and confusion, these are the effects abusers of Benadryl are going for. This is the high they are trying to reach. Unfortunately, other effects of Benadryl abuse can include increased heart rate, insomnia, kidney and liver damage, and even seizures. Young people have been using Benadryl as a cheap high and need to be aware of the dangers associated with this drug. Just because it is over-the-counter, doesn’t mean it is safe.

The Signs, Symptoms, And Effects Of Amphetamines

Different drugs and chemicals affect the people who take them differently. Likewise, the way a drug is introduced to the body varies from drug to drug. Amphetamines are stimulants that affect the central nervous system and are usually taken either orally or by injection. They usually leave the user feeling “hyper” or “jumpy”.

While it is not always easy to determine the exact drug that is causing someone using it to be impaired, here are some of the signs and symptoms of amphetamine use and abuse:

•	Exhaustion
•	Dilated Pupils
•	Excessive Talking
•	Dry Mouth
•	Hypersensitivity
•	Pill Taking
•	Sweating
•	Loss of Appetite
•	Grinding Teeth

Amphetamines can make it difficult for the user to function and complete even the most mundane of tasks. They are often used by people to combat drowsiness. One of the more dangerous uses of amphetamines is as a stimulant for long distance drivers. Some of the effects amphetamines have on driving are:

•	Delayed Reactions
•	Impaired Coordination
•	Questionable Judgement
•	Increased Risk Taking
•	Over reactions when performing driving tasks, like:
•	Over-braking
•	Over-acceleration
•	Over-steering

While amphetamines are often taken to combat drowsiness, they can also leave the user even more exhausted at the end of the high. They also tend to impair most thinking and reaction times. Amphetamines are another drug that should not be used recreationally whatsoever.
