Allergies Galore
By Donald Moody

Allergies are a real problem for all of us, but unfortunately many people don’t realize the danger.
Yes we know that some people are allergic to nuts and some people do die from the allergy. Most of us have heard of the occasional person dying from medication. These deaths occur from anaphylaxis, a state where an unexpected allergic response causes breathing constriction and death if not caught in time.

Sometimes the allergic response is minor, often passing unnoticed, and all stages in between up to the extreme of death. These allergies are the underlying cause of many diseases, because they upset the smooth functioning of the body metabolism and, in my opinion, should be the first thing we look at when we do not feel well,

Let’s take a look at some of the disorders that can be triggered:- Headaches, Migraines, Depression, Stomach disorders, Insomnia, Anxiety, Eczema, Irritability, Constipation, Diarrhea, Weight gain, Chronic fatigue, Itching and rashes, Colds and flu, Aching joints, Bloating, Asthma, Cravings for food, and especially hyper or hypo active children.

By affecting metabolism, allergies can work at different levels in the body, often at the same time. The underlying reaction to food or drink that the body cannot cope with is the storage of toxins, in other words mild poisons. The response of the body is to dilute these toxins, which is an inflammatory response, which causes fluid retention.

The organ that keeps us healthy by breaking down toxic substances is the liver. Continued ingestion of a food the body can’t handle will eventually lead to a breakdown of the liver defenses and these toxins enter the body, causing ‘dis-ease’, and liver damage.

When released into the body system the toxins need to be dealt with and so we get inflammation resulting in fluid retention giving dilution of toxins.

Fluid collecting in the head will cause headaches and migraines, insomnia and personality extremes; dilution of toxins allows the body to excrete them through the skin; eczema, dermatitis, rash, etc. Excretion of toxins through the urinary system can cause kidney malfunction, cystitis, sore genitals and bladder.

Now we begin to see how allergic responses to any substance can disrupt our lives and why some cures never work in the long term.

It is necessary to treat the cause of our problems not the symptom. To do that we need to know what we are allergic to, however minor it may be, because continued and regular ingestion of a substance toxic to us will have a cumulative effect over a period of time.
To begin with our body may cope, but eventually the overload will result in the production of symptoms.

The answer of course is allergy testing and there many ways of doing this, but they all tend to be hit or miss and tend to be carried out once the problem is already there.
More simply we can use a form of natural allergy testing using Applied Kinesiology which allows us, over a period of time, to test everything we or the family eat and nip problems in the bud before they cause trouble.

There are Kinesiologists who do this testing, and it can be done in groups, grains, meat, and so on to keep costs down. There is also a home testing procedure on the market.

This approach then is beneficial to those who are already ill and also to those who have no wish to be ill. It is especially important for parents to know what foods, drinks, or chemicals may be upsetting, or about to upset, their children.

Lastly, we are made of what we eat, drink and breath so it is important that we know what potential damage these elements can do to us. “Look not what can I give my patients to make them better, but what can I take away from them to stop them from being unwell”
Told to me by a Kenyan doctor, when I was a student.
